  Seascape, unsigned, probably English, 19th century o/c 13”H x 23”W stretcher. This romantic style seascape depicts surf crashing against steep, bare cliffs, with a grove of spruce trees in the right foreground. Mist shrouds the cliffs in the distance.At left near the horizon, a three-masted sailing ship heels precariously, apparently about to be wrecked in the pounding surf. There is a sharp dent in the canvas near the middle of the upper edge. Landscape painting by Frank English (American, 1854-1922) watercolor on paper sight 12” H x 22 1/8”W. American impressionist painting depicts a woman walking down a country road lined with stoned walls and picket fences on both sides.There are eight dairy cows standing in the pasture at right, a sprawling house and farm yard beyond them.The pasture at the left, and those in the distance are empty.A light haze has settled on the far side of the valley.This painting is signed FF English in the lower right corner of the image. Portrait of a young girl, unsigned, probably American, mid nineteenth century, pastel on paper,lined with canvas, 28 3/4" H x 23 1/4" W. This was length naive portrait depicts a girl about ten years old sitting upright in a side chair with shaped back. Her brown hair is parted at center and tied back with a blue ribbon. She wears a white dress with short, tight sleeves and pleated bodice. She has a foliage wreath over her left arm and hold a blue book in her lap.The canvas is stenciled verson, "20/Toile Ligneuse/A.Colson/Paris. There are rectangular dark patches in the image corresponding to patches applied to the back of the canvas, with a tear visible in each rectangle. “Intermission” by Ludwig Kohrl (German) 1858-1927, oil on mahogany panel, 12 1/2”H x 16 1/4” W. Painting depicts a young woman seated at piano, turning and looking down demurely as a young man holding a violin leans in to look at her. Signed” L. Kohrl/Munchen lower right corner of image. No defects of condition are apparent.
